Srinagar, December 6, 2014: BJP is determined to hold Prime Minister Narendra Modi's scheduled election rally at Srinagar on December 8 despite threats in form of terrorist attacks and the vicious misinformation campaign launched by PDP /NC and others.
This was stated by BJP National Secretary Tarun Chugh who is camping here for the last so many days to organise and oversee the arrangements for the prime minister's rally expected to be attended by over one lakh people.
Tarun Chugh, who was at Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium here, the venue of Prime Minister's rally, alongwith DGP K. Rajendra, ADGP V.K.Singh, IG Kashmir A.G.Mir and other CRPF and BSF officers, was speaking to the media after holding a meeting regarding the security arrangements.
Chugh said that it was sheer frustration on the part of the PDP leaders that they have now chosen to spread rumours to score a point. He said, the people of Kashmir have made up their mind that they would be voting for BJP this time so as to empower Prime Minister Modi to carry out his visionary agenda of development in Jammu and Kashmir too.
The BJP National Secretary said that the BJP was determined to hold the rally at any cost and it would not be cowed down by the threats in the form of terror strikes.
He said that the people of the valley are eager to listen to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's agenda for the development of Jammu and Kashmir and the police and other security agencies have made fool-proof arrangements. He claimed that over one lakh people will attend the historic rally which will be a turning point in the politics and governance of the state.
Chugh said, people of Jammu and Kashmir, have seen the misrule of successive governments of two families and have this time pinned their hopes on BJP, which is the biggest national and disciplined political party of India.
