Dharamsala, December 6, 2014: The opposition leader and the ex-CM of Himachal Pradesh has accused the Vir Bhadra Singh led government that it is not serious about the business.
Talking to this correspondent outside Vidhan Sabha at Dharamsala Dhumal said, “The government first said that it will have a special assembly session in November this year to meet the lost hours of Monsoon session, which was not called. Then it was heard that they will have a very long winter session, but it is being held for just 7 sittings.” Dhumal said their work shirking is being proved by the Saturday’s proceeding where there was no work fixed for, after question hour.
Dhumal said that Opposition is happy that their adjournment motion for a discussion on illicit falling of 477 trees in a private forest at Tarahall in Shimla, under rule 67 was not rejected by the speaker. Ex CM said, “Under Supreme Courts if the private land is more than 25 bighas and has more than 50% forest cover, then a permission for tree cutting is required under Forest Conservation Act.” He said that if their motion rejected on Monday, they will adopt different ways to raise the issue .
He said that the law and order situation is worsening in the state beside it opposition will raise matters concerning mining mafia, RUSA, fee hike in higher education, animal problems including monkeys dogs et, in the ongoing assembly session . Dhumal attended the 2nd day’s proceeding of winter session at Dharamsala on Saturday after being absent on the opening day.
