Vajra Corps Team evacuates 4,800 people from flood affected areas of Srinagar to safer places.
Jalandhar, September 15, 2014: Vajra Corps Task force Team has been working round the clock in flood affected area of Srinagar for the last eight days. The Vajra Corps Team has evacuated 4800 people from flood affected areas of Srinagar to safer places. Along with this aid Vajra Corps has dispatched a huge amount of flood relief material to Srinagar for the use of flood affected people of Srinagar.
Rescue operations by the flood relief columns of ‘Vajra’ Corps entered into its eight day today and Engineer Task Force of ‘Vajra’ Corps rescued 4800 people so far, in the ongoing rescue operations in the flood affected areas of Srinagar. Engineer Task Force alongwith medical teams, deployed at old Airfield, Batmaloo and Rambagh areas of Srinagar, are busy round the clock providing relief & rescue and medical services to the affected flood victims.
