New Delhi, August 13, 2014: The Special Judge, CBI Court Mapusa (Goa) has convicted Chaitanya Prakash Audichya, a former Assistant Labour Commissioner, Goa in disproportionate assets case and sentenced him to undergo two years Simple Imprisonment with fine of Rs. 50,000.
According to the CBI sources CBI had registered a case on the allegations that during the period from 1992 to 2003, Chaitanya Prakash Audichya, then Assistant Labour Commissioner, Goa, acquired immovable and movable assets to the tune of Rs. 42,50,038 against his likely savings to the tune of Rs. 27,93,363.
Chaitanta Prakash Audichya was in possession of Disproportionate Assets to an extent of Rs. 14,56,675 to his known sources of income. The chargesheet was filed by the CBI before the Court of Special Judge South Goa, Margao on 31.01.2007.
The Trial Court found the accused guilty and convicted him.
