New Delhi /Jalandhar, March 11, 2013: A Haryana farmer Dharamvir Kamboj from village Damla of Yamunanagar district on Sunday called on Haryana Chief Minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda at his New Delhi residence.
Hooda expressed happiness and congratulated Dharamvir on getting President award for making multi-purpose food processing machine. Hooda said that Haryana is proud of its farmer’s achievement. He assured him of all possible help for making innovative machines.
Dharamvir Kamboj adjudged stood first in the competition of National Grassroots Technological Innovations and Traditional Knowledge Awards to make the country innovative and creative. Over 19 thousand candidates took part in it, out of which only 64 were selected for awards. Dharamvir was given prize of Rs. 5 lakh, a citation and shield at a function held at Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi recently.
Kamboj said that his multi-purpose food processing machine can crush about 150-200 kg of aloevera, aamla, guava, apple etc. in one hour. The machine crushes without breaking the seeds of aamla, mango, jamun etc. Machine can also grind ginger, turmeric and other items. It can also extract 150 liter milk from soyabean. This machine is in great demand.
He has also prepared a rain gun for irrigation and a number of other machines useful in agriculture. Herbal plants grown by him are also very much in demand in other states.
