Almonds are useful in keeping away lifestyle diseases like obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. Not only this, loaded with vitamins and minerals, stacked with nutrients and easy to add to one’s daily diet, almonds are in every way the wonder food for the wonder woman of today.

Almonds are rich in antioxidants, manganese, riboflavin, and copper, all of which aid in energy production, making them a high octane fuel for busy women to maintain the required energy levels during the course of a hectic day spent taking care of loved ones.

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Diet, Nutrition and Wellness consultant Sheela Krishnaswamy said, “Whether you are a home maker or a working woman, regular consumption of almonds can contribute significantly to your overall well being and consequently the well being of everyone who depends upon you.”

She further said, “Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in urban cities in India, accounting for 30% of all cancers in women. Research has shown that flavonoids are implicated in the natural removal of cancer-causing agents in the body.
