New Delhi, June 13, 2014: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Haryana Government and Uttar Pradesh Government will be signed for construction of High Level Bridge on Yamuna River for connecting Bilaspur-Khojkipur Road in Panipat in Haryana with Tanda-Kurdi-Nangal-Sai Mandir Chaproli-Barot Road in Uttar Pradesh, at Conference Hall, Haryana Bhawan, Copernicus Marg, New Delhi on June 13 at 10.45 AM.
The Principal Secretary, Haryana Public Works Department would sign the MoU on behalf of Haryana Government whereas Secretary Uttar Pradesh Public Works Department would sign the MoU on behalf of UP Government in the presence of Haryana Chief Minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Akhilesh Yadav.
The proposed bridge would be constructed near village Hathwala of Panipat district of Haryana and village Chaproli of Uttar Pradesh. This bridge would be about 667.53 meters long and will provide a direct connectivity to the villages of Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh and the villages of Panipat district of Haryana. The estimated cost of the Bridge along-with its approaches is Rs.108.68 crore.
