New Delhi, March 3, 2014: The Central Bureau of Investigation has today arrested two more accused persons of Moradabad (Uttar Pradesh) for allegedly possession of Fake Indian Currency Note having face value of Rs.2.37 lakhs (approx).
A case U/s 120B r/w 489B and 489C of IPC was registered against the accused persons on the basis of reliable information and intelligence developed by CBI. CBI intercepted two persons at Moradabad Railway Station today and recovered FICN having face value of Rs. 2.37 lakhs (approx) from their possession. The recovered an alleged FICN are in the denomination of Rs.1000 and Rs. 500 notes. Both the accused had arrived at Moradabad Railway Station by train carrying the FICN which they had allegedly received from Kaliachak, in Malda District of West Bengal on February 26, 2014.
During the last week, after registering a case U/s 120B r/w 489B & 489C of IPC, CBI has also arrested two accused of Moradabad/Rampur area of Uttar Pradesh for alleged possession of FICN. Both the accused had arrived at Lucknow Railway Station on Malda-New Delhi Express carrying the FICN which they had allegedly received from a person at Kaliachak, in Malda District of West Bengal on February 22, 2014. CBI intercepted the accused persons at Lucknow Railway Station and recovered an alleged FICN of face value of Rs.3.25 Lakhs(approx) from their possession. The recovered FICN were in the denomination of Rs.1000 notes.
